Since it was founded in the year 1991, Transports Ciutat Comtal has experienced a continued growth in this branch of its services, and has become one of the leading companies in Europe specializing in transportation for the disabled. The company began its activity in this sector in 1992 with the transport of persons with severely reduced mobility in Barcelona. In this same year, the company provided the transport for the Paralympic Games.

"Door-to-Door" Public Transport Service for Persons with Severely Reduced Mobility in Barcelona
In the year 2005, the company was awarded this type of service for the third consecutive year.
Services for persons with severely reduced mobility are offered to those who are citizens of Barcelona possessing a certificate verifying their disability.
There are various types of "door-to-door" services:
- Fixed services: Those services which are repeated daily at the same time and on the same route, and therefore can be anticipated in advance.
- Intermittent services: Those services which are sporadic and not used on a daily basis such as: shopping, visits, movie theater, etc.
Additionally, since 1998, we have offered an adaptable taxi service.
The schedule is: Monday - Thursday and holidays until 24:00 h. and on Fridays, Saturdays and the night before a holiday until 2:00 h.
